FINAL MEDIA CALL – 2017 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK) –  Spokes.com.au presents Round 7 Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit (6-8 October)

ASBK would like to invite all media types to attend the championship decider – Spokes.com.au presents Round 7 Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit as the YMI Superbikes, Motul Supersport, Hi-Tec Batteries Supersport 300, YMF R3 Cup, Moto 3 / 125GP and Australian Sidecar Championship roar to life. This is your chance to cover the most prestigious road racing championship in Australia, on arguably the greatest motorcycle circuit in the world. Nothing beats the fast and flowing sections of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with overtakes and high speeds to marvel at.

With multiple championships going to the wire at Round 7, including the YMI Superbike class, the ASBK title showdown won’t be one to miss. Only 15 points separate the top three Troy Herfoss (Crankt Protein Honda Racing Team, CBR1000SP2), Josh Waters (Team Suzuki ECSTAR, GSX-R1000R) and Wayne Maxwell (Yamaha Racing Team, YZF-R1). The final round could truly be anyone’s game.

By obtaining Official ASBK media accreditation, you will have access to the track, pits, and to the flood of race professionals slicing and dicing to championship title glory across all exciting classes.

What is the ASBK? 
ASBK is a showcase of the most talented road race riders in the country, expertly racing the most powerful Superbike machines available as they go head to head across seven rounds in the hope to take home their respective national title.

On top of fierce rivalries and action packed racing across a number of classes, the ASBK brings with it, factory race transporter trucks, ‘money can’t buy’ fan experiences, as well as injecting local economies with significant revenue all the while producing Australian champions.
