Final round date change confirmed

The V8 Supercar and Superbike event scheduled for November 5 - 11 at Tasmania’s Symmons Plains Raceway has been rescheduled.

Teams and competitors should note that the event will now take place on the weekend of November 12-14.

“The V8 Supercar Board confirmed at its last meeting that they could accommodate the rescheduling of the Tasmanian race date to avoid a potential conflict that had been brought to their attention,” a statement from V8 Supercars read.

“After consultation with all relevant parties this change has now been confirmed.”

The Falken Tasmania Challenge was originally set to take place from November 5-7 but it is understood the earlier date clashed with the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, which is also telecast by Channel Seven.
