By MA Media 0

With the first battle lines to be drawn in the 2026 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) at Phillip Island from February 20-22, the class structure for the five-round calendar has now been released.

In 2026, the following classes will be contested at ASBK rounds:

  • SW-Motech Superbike (Australian Championship)
  • Kawasaki Supersport (Australian Championship)
  • Supersport Next Gen (Australian Championship)
  • Race and Road Supersport 300 (Australian Championship)
  • BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup (Australian Championship)
  • BLU CRU R3 Cup (Australian series)
  • Superbike Masters (Australian series)

The Superbike, Supersport, Supersport Next Gen and Supersport 300 classes will feature across the entire calendar, Oceania Junior Cup and R3 Cup at four rounds, and the Superbike Masters at two.

The class structure at each round is as follows:

  • Rd1, February 20-22, Phillip Island: SW-Motech Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Supersport Next Gen and Race and Road Supersport 300
  • Rd2: March 27-28, Sydney Motorsport Park: SW-Motech Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Supersport Next Gen, Race and Road Supersport 300, BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup and BLU CRU R3 Cup
  • Rd3: May 1-3, The Bend: SW-Motech Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Supersport Next Gen, Race and Road Supersport 300, BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup
  • Rd4: May 29-31, Morgan Park Raceway: SW-Motech Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Supersport Next Gen, Race and Road Supersport 300, BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup, BLU CRU R3 Cup and Superbike Masters
  • Rd5: June 26-28, Queensland Raceway: SW-Motech Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Supersport Next Gen, Race and Road Supersport 300, BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup, BLU CRU R3 Cup and Superbike Masters

The Supersport and Supersport Next Gen classes will again be combined on the same grid in 2026.

A new development in the 2026 ASBK Championship is the introduction of a Teams Championship in the Superbike and Supersport/Next Gen classes to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and competitive spirit of teams in the paddock.

ASBK will also now solely focus on celebrating the top three in every race with trophy presentations, eliminating the ‘overall’ podium at each round.

The Sporting Regulations and Supplementary regulations for the 2026 ASBK Championship are available here.
