2021 ASBK Championship Winton And Wakefield Rounds Locked and Loaded

In the first of a series of major announcements by ASBK this week, the ASBK Management Team is excited to announce Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2021 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship, presented by Motul, will be held at Winton Motor Raceway and Wakefield Park Raceway. Both circuits which have always produced scintillating ASBK racing for many years.

ASBK will in the coming days, release further rounds, venues and dates, but is pleased to confirm today that ASBK activities for 2021 will begin with the Official ASBK Pre-Season Test over two-day at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Phillip Island, January 27 and 28.

The ASBK Management Team can confirm ASBK Round 2 will be held on March 12-14, at Northern Victoria’s spectacular Winton Motor Raceway, where many ASBK Championships have been decided.

ASBK Round 3 will be held April 16-18, at Wakefield Park Raceway, Goulburn, NSW, home of this year’s double header ASBK Grand Finale extravaganza, where 5 Champions will be crowned Motorcycling Australia’s ASBK Champions.

“These are two fabulous ASBK Championship venues that have provided exhilarating racing in recent years, and we know fans love the close and competitive racing at these circuits,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle.

“We would like to thank the management teams of both Winton Motor Raceway and Wakefield Park Raceway for their terrific support of the ASBK Championship over many years, particularly during this tough period of COVID-19.

“We look forward to welcoming crowds back to the track in 2021 to watch the spectacular ASBK action but will obviously be guided by relevant State Government COVID-19 regulations at the time.”

Benalla Auto Club owners of Winton Motor Raceway and Wakefield Park Raceways will showcase these premier motorsport events for their venues and are excited to welcome back ASBK teams, riders and fans in 2021.

The 2021 Official ASBK Pre-Season Test will host bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup, YMI Supersport 300, YMF R3 Cup, Motorsports TV Supersport, and Kawasaki Superbike class competitors. Giving them their first chance to blowout their Christmas cobwebs and test new machinery and set-ups to their limits in preparation for a blockbuster 2021 ASBK Championship.

Race fans can catch all the drama and action from the 2020 ASBK Grand Finale at Wakefield Park Raceway, December 3-6, live via ASBK TV partners SBSHD, Fox Sports Australia and Fox Sports Asia on both Saturday and Sunday.

Each of the five Championships – Oceania Junior Cup, YMF R3 Cup, YMI Supersport 300, Motorsports TV Supersport and Kawasaki Superbike class – will be decided at the Grand Finale.
