2Step Racing morphs into Omega Racing Team
Round three of the 2025 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) at Queensland Raceway will see the debut of the Omega Racing Team, spearheaded by Jonathan Nahlous in the SW-Motech Superbike class.
From humble beginnings as a family-run team supporting Nahlous, 2StepRacing has now morphed into a multi-rider outfit backed by Omega Appliances – an Australian household brand operating since 1981.
Omega Racing Team will field four riders across multiple classes in the ASBK Championship: Nahlous, Will Nassif in Kawasaki Supersport, and Mitch Cartwright and Zac Russo in the Race and Road Supersport 300 and ShopYamaha R3 Cup classes.
“The new sponsorship, for me is an opportunity to invest in these four riders, give them an opportunity to share information between them, share data, share experiences, to really try to grow and help them through the season, as well as in their training and development,” said team principal Maurice Nahlous.
“It’s very expensive, this sport is, so Omega’s sponsorship is an amazing contribution because it really does make a difference. We can do extra training with the boys, really spend some time and not have to worry about the little costs here and there because of this support.”
