The paddock of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK) will get a first chance to lay down rubber at the newly created multi-million-dollar, world-class racetrack at The Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend, South Australia on April 3-4 for the Official ASBK Test.

Riders from the YMI Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport and Australian Supersport 300 classes will be racing against the clock and gaining valuable track time during their first visit to the brand new The Bend Motorsport Park. Just 15 days later the ASBK extravaganza comes to the track, with Round 3 tying in with the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) Australian round, April 19-22.

The two-day Official ASBK Test at The Bend Motorsport Park, will offer riders a pivotal opportunity to modify their machinery and to establish who is on the pace after the first two rounds of the ASBK championship.

A state of the art, world-class motorsport facility, The Bend will deliver an exhilarating experience for competitors, enthusiasts and spectators alike. ASBK will race on the International Configuration of the track which is 4.95km long.

South Australian native, Daniel Falzon will be utilising the Official Test as a chance to get accustomed to The Bend Motorsport Park.

Falzon saying; “I’m really looking forward to testing and competing at what will be my new home track at The Bend Motorsport Park. The facilities are second to none in this country and I’ve even had the opportunity to check out the track in person.

“The professionalism of the track organisers and owners has been amazing and it’s clear that competitors and spectators alike are going to be impressed when the racing kicks off,” Falzon finished.

Managing Director of The Bend Motorsport Park, Sam Shahin shared his excitement; “The Official ASBK Test will be the first time we’ll see Superbikes in anger at The Bend Motorsport Park where benchmark lap times will be set.
