Five more things to do near Sydney Motorsport Park

By MA Media 0

As if a weekend of superbikes wasn’t enough, there’s still plenty more to see and do in Sydney

This March 22 and 23, Australia’s fastest riders will return to the world-class Sydney Motorsport Park for round two of the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul.

We know the on-track action will be more than enough excitement for one weekend, but with one of the world’s greatest cities on your doorstep, why not try and squeeze a little more in?

Here’s five more things to see and do in Sydney that are less than a 15-minute drive from Sydney Motorsport Park.

RAGING WATERS SYDNEY– 7-MINUTE DRIVE

With more than 40 water slides and attractions, Raging Waters Sydney will keep the adrenaline going off track. Of course, if you want to channel a little of that ASBK competitive spirit, then we have to recommend giving the H2Go Racers slide a go first.

SKYLINE DRIVE-IN BLACKTOWN – 5-MINUTE DRIVE

If you love the retro feel of the Australian Superbike Masters, then the Skyline Drive-In might be the perfect double-feature. Watch some fantastic racing and then go see the latest Hollywood blockbusters with a side of old-school cool.

SYDNEY PREMIER KARTING PARK – 2-MINUTE DRIVE

This one’s popular at the best of times, but during a race weekend it’s hard to pass up a lap or ten at the nearby go-kart track. Especially if it’s at Sydney Premier Karting Park, which is the only venue in Sydney with the super-fast 13HP Sodi RT8 karts.

SYDNEY ZOO – 11-MINUTE DRIVE

After you’ve seen all the ASBK animals unleashed on the racetrack at Sydney Motorsport Park, why not take a little trip over to Sydney Zoo and see another 4,000 animals up close and personal?

BUNGARRIBEE PARK PLAYGROUND – 11-MINUTE DRIVE

As far as playgrounds go, Bunbarribee Park Playground would have to be pretty close to Grand Prix standard. A 14-metre-high playtower, 50-metre-long flying-fox, giant swings, walking and cycling tracks barbecues and picnic shelters. Sounds like a rippin’ time for kids and adults alike.

There’s so much more to do in Sydney; just make sure you set aside some time to see some proper racing from Australia’s best riders.  We’ll see you soon for one of the best and brightest rounds of the season. Buy your tickets today.
