Herfoss to race under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park

Fresh from a dazzling debut in MotoAmerica, Queenslander Troy Herfoss will compete in round two of the 2024 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park on March 22-23.

The reigning Superbike champion will again ride alongside Broc Pearson in the DesmoSport bunker, with the duo aboard Panigale V4 Rs. Herfoss is currently third in the Superbike title behind fellow Ducati riders Josh Waters and Harrison Voight.

Herfoss made his maiden appearance with Indian Motorcycle at Daytona on March 8-10, scoring a pair of second-place finishes in the King of the Baggers class and winning the opening Super Hooligan race.

Back on home soil, Herfoss is motivated to make a huge impact at Sydney Motorsport Park.

“Racing in Daytona was such an incredible experience,” he said. “I had a lot to learn going into the weekend, but I’m happy with my results and I’m really looking forward to getting back together with the team for the next round at the start of April,” Herfoss said.

“It’s been an amazing few weeks that’s for sure, and I’m just excited to keep racing, so I spoke to Ben again when I got home and the bike’s still there for me, so I’m in for Sydney!”

“It’s an important weekend for us in Sydney, we’ve been working hard as a team, and we did some events in Sydney over the off-season, so now we get to see how we’ve really progressed,” said Team Manager Ben Henry.

“I’m excited to get to the track, we’ve got our own exclusive suite again with some special guests and it’s going to be a great weekend.”
