Michelin back in the Supersport corner for 2024

With the 2024 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) beginning at Phillip Island this weekend, the ASBK Management Team is delighted that Michelin will return as naming rights partner for the Supersport class.Racing has been an integral and critical aspect of Michelin’s activities since it was founded, serving not only as a marketing channel but also offering proof-of-concept for the company’s extensive R&D process. The Michelin Group now sells tyres in over 170 countries across a multitude of applications — including, of course, motorcycles.“Michelin Australia is proud to support the Australian Supersport Championship, a category that always puts on a great show and has also become a launching pad for riders to create overseas opportunities internationally,” said Michelin Australia’s Doug Sharp.“In recent years, we’ve seen the likes of Cameron Dunker, Olly Simpson and John Lytras show their talent in the Supersport category.“We’re sure that 2024 will again deliver great racing and we are looking forward to the first round at Phillip Island.”

“Motorcycling Australia are excited to see the continued support of Michelin in the Australian Supersport Championship,” said Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle.“Supersport is one of the jewels in the crown of ASBK, with many riders honing their craft and showing their potential in this fantastic category.”To get the most out of your motorcycle’s performance on the track, road and off-road using Michelin rubber, click here.Purchase tickets for the Phillip Island opener here. Can’t get to Phillip Island?
