Reid Battye and Ryan Sellen Join BCperformance Junior Team

BCperformance have announced that Reid Battye and Ryan Sellen will join the Junior Team for the remainder of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli within the Hi-Tec Batteries Supersport 300 (Battye) and Motul Supersport (Sellen) classes.

Current Hi-Tec Batteries Supersport ‘Under 300’ championship leader, 16 year-old-Reid, will join current rider and number two in the championship Yanni Shaw on a Kawasaki Ninja 300 to form a formidable team.

Reid stated; “I’m really excited to be joining the BCperformance/Landscapesupplies Junior Team for the remainder of the 2017 season on the Kawasaki Ninja 300. I’m looking forward to the next round of ASBK at Morgan Park raceway with an experienced team behind me and to be at 100 percent. I want to thank the whole team at BCperformance for welcoming me to their family and giving me this fantastic opportunity,” He finished.

Also joining the BCperformance junior team for the remainder of the season will be 19-year-old Sellen from the NSW Central Coast, Ryan has competed for the past two seasons on a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and just recently jumped up to the Motul Supersport class with the AT1 racing team on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. For the final three rounds of the season, Ryan will pilot the BCperformance Junior Team Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

Sellen shared; “Super excited to be joining the BCperformance Junior Team and getting to work with the team in improving my overall riding and getting some good results out on the track and very keen for the rest of 2017. A big thanks to Kelvin Reilly and Dominic De Leon for making this happen,” He finished.

Reid and Ryan will join the BCperformance Junior Team for a Two day test at Morgan Park on 9-10 August, where they will get the chance to familiarise themselves with their new bikes and team.

The remaining rounds of the ASBK series gets underway at Morgan Park over the weekend of 25-27 August before moving back down to Sydney Motorsport Park two weeks later and then the final round is held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in October.
