Iconic insurance specialist Shannons is the new naming rights partner for the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK), extending its already significant commitment to local motorsport competition into the nation’s premier motorcycle circuit racing arena.

Shannons, which has brought together enthusiasts who share a genuine passion for motorcycles and cars for over half a century, is joining forces with ASBK as it makes a landmark switch to a summer-based calendar for the first time since the championship’s inception in 1989.

The ASBK summer calendar will also present opportunities for international teams and riders, as well as high-profile expatriates such as Jack Miller, to make their way Down Under to battle against Australia’s best riders – adding more spice to an already fiercely contested championship.

The 2027 Shannons Australian Superbike Championship presented by Pirelli will officially commence alongside the 2026 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island from October 23-25, with a huge field of 32 riders to contest the season opener in front of tens of thousands of spectators.

ASBK then visits The Bend (November 13-15, 2026), One Raceway (December 4-6, 2026), Queensland Raceway (January 15-17, 2027) and Phillip Island (February 19-21, 2027) before the grand finale at Sydney Motorsport Park (March 19-20, 2027).

Shannons will not only be a huge ASBK presence in terms of sponsorship and brand recognition, but will also be in attendance at all six rounds of the 2027 season with exciting fan activations.
