SpeedAngle and Thermal Technology returning to OJC in 2026

By MA Media 0

There’s no stone left unturned in providing BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup (OJC) riders with the best opportunity to shine, and that will continue in 2026 thanks to championship partners like SpeedAngle lap timers and Thermal Technology tyre warmers.

SpeedAngle will continue its association into a fifth year, benefitting the grassroots circuit racing academy by not only allowing riders to monitor lap times on the Yamaha YZF-R15s but also individual sectors so they can determine ideal lap times.

In addition, the SpeedAngle timer overlays data, which particularly benefits OJC rookies so they can make comparisons against more experienced riders. And to further streamline the process, Aussie racetracks are already preloaded on the SpeedAngle.

The data logger captures how riders perform, and not the motorcycle’s dynamics: the perfect system for junior riders to develop race craft, confidence and professionalism without information overload.

As well as the technical smarts of the lap timer, SpeedAngle will again sponsor the OJC Superpole program in 2026, with the fastest qualifier at each round receiving $100 to support their racing activities.

Meanwhile, Thermal Technology has been manufacturing tyre warmers for three decades, winning world and Australian championships along the way.

Its tyre warmers allow the OJC riders to put the hammer down with absolute confidence from the outset, especially as their races are shorter in distance compared to the other ASBK Championship classes.

SpeedAngle and Thermal Technology are distributed in Australia by Mototrack Accessories. For more information on Mototrack’s full range of road, race, dirt and adventure accessories, click here.

Round one of the 2026 BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup will be held at Sydney Motorsport Park on March 27-28.

James Tonna, Mototrack Accessories:
“We are excited to continue supporting the BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup with SpeedAngle and Thermal Technology. Measuring improvement is integral to developing juniors, and Thermal Technology has been a powerhouse of the industry for over 20 years.

“This will also be our fourth year backing the Superpole winner at each round, allowing the OJC riders to experience a circuit racing journey similar to that of the top-level classes.”

Peter Doyle, CEO, Motorcycling Australia:
“I’m delighted the 17 riders competing in the 2026 BLU CRU Oceania Junior Cup will be utilising SpeedAngle and Thermal Technoogy.

“In particular, the data logger is the perfect fit for a junior circuit racing academy such as OJC, because the information it provides is clear, concise and accurate. Riders can clearly gauge their relative strengths and weaknesses, and you can’t ask for more than that as a learning tool.”
