F1 & F2 Australian Sidecar Championship Race Two
David Boughen and Robbie Shorter (F1 LCR Suzuki 1000) took another dominant victory in race two. The duo were pumping in the fastest laps and were simply unstoppable on their LCR Suzuki. Shorter even managed to pull off a handstand on his sidecar to show off to the crowd on the cool down lap.

Howard Ford and Lee Menzies (California Custom Products, F1 LCR Suzuki 1000) emulated their second-place finish in race one, this time being 13 seconds behind the race winner to further extend their title credentials.

The first of the F2 finishes was Mick Alton and Christine Clancy (J&C Contracting, F2 LCR Suzuki 600). Their victory for their respective championship also managed to seal the F2 title and they were elated on the podium to secure the title. This would be the fourth championship in a row for Alton and the third for Clancy.

Alton and Clancy sharing at the podium; “Thank you very much to those who have put together our sidecar motor and Horsell Consulting for sponsoring the round. I would also like to thank Graeme and Jarrod for pushing us all the way.”
