What they said… Production

1st – Justin Hall (Kawasaki) – The Boltbarn

“It is certainly my greatest achievement so far in Road Racing – it has been a bit of a tough year, but eventually I got here!

“I felt the pressure – I wasn’t sure which way I should go, but kept on the smart road and just kept in the top four the whole time and was able to get there with points.

“It is certainly an achievement to know that I was consistently better than the rest over the year.

“I think I will have one more year on this bike and then that will probably be it – I will probably run out of money by then!

2nd – Drew Sells (Kawasaki) – Race Centre

“I feel pretty good – it’s good to come out at the end of the season on a really big high.

“I finished almost with a perfect weekend – pole position, two race wins and I missed out on the last race but it’s all good.

“I felt really confident as we’ve done a lot of testing round here and we have done a lot of laps round here, so I felt pretty comfortable and knew we could get on the pace.

3rd – Michelle Marais (Kawasaki) – SP Racing – (also first in the Women’s Class)

“I am pretty stoked – it is my first championship ever and we are pretty happy to finish this year as we never expected to go this well.

“It was intimidating at Phillip Island – conditions were very mixed and coming from Perth where we have done our home track a million times, but this is everyone’s home track over here.

“So learning something new was pretty good and being on a world class circuit has its perks – knowing that the same rubber we put down, athletes like Valentino Rossi have done the same, so it has been a great experience.”
