Jack Mahaffy back in ASBK full-time

By MA Media 0

Victorian Jack Mahaffy will return on a permanent capacity to the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) in 2024, riding in the Michelin Supersport class on a Yamaha YZF-R6.

The 22-year-old, a former Australian junior dirt track and road race champion, has been competing in the Italian CIV title in recent seasons but will return home to join Corey Turner and Tom Toparis at 666 Motorsport Stop & Seal Racing.

Turner will also compete in the Michelin Superport class, while Toparis is making the step up to Superbike.

Mahaffy competed in the final round of the 2023 ASBK Championship at The Bend (SA) for Stop & Seal, and is delighted the relationship has been extended into 2024.

“I’m looking forward to this season on the Stop & Seal Supersport machine,” said Mahaffy. “A big thanks to Robbie (Bolger) and the team for putting their belief and trust in me.

“Robbie has built a strong framework of support, with some fast bikes. I haven’t any time on the bike since The Bend last year due to an injury so I’m looking forward to Phillip Island to get the season underway.”
