Max Stauffer departs Yamaha Racing Team

By MA Media 0

Max Stauffer has departed from the Yamaha Racing Team (YRT), effective immediately.

Making the step up to the factory team this year following a breakout season with Penrite Racing in 2024, the decision for both parties to part ways was mutually agreed on.

Currently sitting seventh in the SW-Motech Superbike points tally, the 21-year-old has endured a tough year in a campaign where he hasn’t netted a top five result in any race so far.

While the journey for both parties ends now, the passion, professionalism and determination that he’s brought to every event in 2025 has not gone unnoticed, something which Yamaha Racing Team Manager John Redding is incredibly grateful for.

“Max has been a great ambassador for Yamaha,” he said. “We’ve appreciated his efforts and commitment during his time with us, and we part ways on the best of terms.

“His future is bright, and we look forward to seeing what he achieves next.”

The journey for Max aboard Yamaha machinery does not end now, as the manufacturer will continue to support him from a brand perspective.

YRT are yet to announce a replacement for Stauffer.
